A cream is essentially composed of two phases: a fatty phase and an aqueous phase, in this case provided by the water contained in the machine: this is an emulsion. Emulsifiers are used to maintain cohesion between these two phases.

In the case of the Crème Riche texture, it contains rich fats to deeply nourish the skin, and humectants to maintain its natural moisture level all over the face.
