In perfumery, there are three categories of olfactory notes, depending on how long they last. Top notes are those that last the shortest, i.e. a few minutes. Next come the heart notes, which last for a few hours, and finally the base notes, which truly impregnate the skin or clothing for several hours.

- The top notes of Fleur de tiaré are composed of citrus fruits such as oranges and petit grain.

- The heart notes are floral, mainly composed of tiare flowers.

- The base notes are sweet and vanilla-like, based on vanilla beans.
