In perfumery, there are three categories of olfactory notes, depending on how long they last. Top notes are those that last the shortest, i.e. a few minutes. Next come the heart notes, which last for a few hours, and finally the base notes, which truly impregnate the skin or clothing for several hours.

- The top notes of Mille et Une Nuits are round and spicy, revealing scents of cinnamon and clove.

- The heart notes are floral and soft, with rose and almond milk.

- The base notes are comforting, thanks to patchouli and vanilla bean.
