In perfumery, there are three categories of olfactory notes, depending on how long they last. Top notes are those that last the shortest, i.e. a few minutes. Next come the heart notes, which last for a few hours, and finally the base notes, which truly impregnate the skin or clothing for several hours.

- The top notes of Siberian Cedar give pride of place to aromatic fragrances, evoking both basil and clove.

- The heart notes are floral and woody, with cedarwood and geranium.

- The base notes also underline the aromatic character, thanks to thyme, but also reveal a great deal of sweetness with patchouli.
